        Hello friends Today I will tell you some interesting history of dholavira.First i want to tell you about location of this place.This place is located in india country at bhachau taluka of kutchh.Dholavira is archaeological place.This place is also known as kotda-timba.This place contains Ruins of harappan city.It is one of the five largest haappan city.Dholavira is discovered in 1967 by j.p. joshi and it is fifth largest harappan city from eight cities.

         This place is under excavation  since 1990 by archaeological survey of india.now let me tell you about archaeological ruins.Archaeological ruins or excavation places belonging to the Indus Valley Civilisation have been discovered during the excavations conducted in Dholavira in 1989. The excavations led to the discovery of large urban centres such as Ganeriwala, Harappa, Mohenjo Daro, Rakhigarhi, Rupar, Kalibangan, Dholavira and Lothal. Locally known as Kotada timba, the destination houses ruins of ancient Harappan city.

           Archaeological Survey of India discovered very large numbers of seals,animal bones,silver,gold,reservoiers etc.Dholavira city has rectangle shape and it is spread over 250 acers.Dholavira is flanked by two storm water channels; the Mansar in the north, and the Manhar in the south.
             So friends dholavira is one of the historical place of india which is not so much popular.I advice to all of you visit dholavira at once you realy enjoyed it.Have a nice day...
